RECONSTRUCTED LEGACY

Responding to the theme of 'Reconstructed Legacy' I took inspiration from flint-faced buildings and historical architecture. I extracted shapes from primary images and transferred them into embroidery, tile and weave designs. The brief emphasised the need to prioritise the health and wellbeing of those using the spaces so I focused on overlapping shapes, cool colours inspired by nature with materials focus on sound-absorption, and spaces such as break out zones and a yoga studio.
